3rd of November
i took a bus from Singapore to Melaka, Malaysia. crossed the border and i got my visa for 90 days!! the bus was very clean and comfortable and even had massage chairs which i only found out at the end of the trip:)
i got to Melaka bus station and i had to take a local bus to the central of the city. at the bus stop i met a girl from Belgium heading for the same way and she had a name of a hostel to find so i joind her. that hostel was full already so went to find other. And we did, its called Tony`s Guesthouse. it looked good, full of the owers personal touches, pictures paited by him. we shared a room with this girl, (who i dont remember the name) but she isnt really talkative, we didnt speak much...i went to explore the city and at this poit of my travels i was really looking forward to find beach!!!! realizing that there aint any beach made me a bit sad but looking around the city i really fall in love with it!!
4th of November
i didnt have a good nite sleep, it rained a lot at nite, kept waking me up...anyway in Melaka there are loads of museum and historical places cos back then there were the British, portuguese, dutch colonies. i went to this Palace where the sultan lived...it looked nice...but unfortunatly dont have pictures of it cos my buttery on my camera died....shame on me...the garden around the palace was really nice and this is where the children used to play back then.
After the Palace i went up on a tower whick took me 18m up and could see all the city around. I saw the sea and i thought i ll go n check it out.
when i got to the Sea there was a guy who was digging the sand.. i asked him what he was doing?! he said he was digging for sea shells for his family for dinner ...so i helped him..it was fun:) soon there was a fishing boat coming towards us, the guy who i was helping knew him.. he had some interesting looking fishes and crabs on board...but the most interesting thin was the horsshoe crab!! its the oldest living thing on Earth...100million years before dinosauros!!it was really cool to see that creature!! i found some nice shell as well for my collection:) we chatted with the guy, he is local and on his day off..chilling and relaxing at the beach....its really nice to talk with the locals cos they can tell you soo much about the places u wanna visit.
later on he dropped me back to the city where i just walked on the streets of Chinatown..i tried coconut which i did not like cos it was still green and very tasteless..then i tried fryed potatos... that was more like my taste:)
i met chinees ppl on the street who were telling me abt Falun Dafa, its a kind of meditation which in China isnt aloud to practice cos the communist goverment against it. its a really sad story.. anyway they took me home to theire place n gave me traditional chinees dinner of beltfish and home made bun. it was delicious food. great day:)
5th of November.
i day a lie in in the morning then i took a rickshow ride around the city with this tour guide who u can see on my pictures, wearing a hat:)
he took me to nice historical places n talked abt all the history. i felt like im back to school n having history lesson:) he knew everything...not sure i remebmer all tho..:)
so after that i went back home n had a rest (watched big brother..so wanna find out who ll win:) then went to the local swimming pool to have a splash about, and a local guy was trying to teach me some dive technics..to go down to bottom (4m) n how to breath properly. it was really cool.
end of the day i went to the chinees night market, where streets are full of stalls n ppl, met some guys from Ireland, had a chat n also saw a guy who was in the guiness record book. he made holes on coconut with his finger...gross.
really liked Melaka, its very beautiful city.!!
