Hi! Sorry for the really late update we got abit distracted! Ill start from where I left off almost 3 wks ago!
Ok so from the longest strangest 12hr train ride we finally arrived in Khoa Sok Thailand. We were staying in wooded bunglows in the middle of the Khoa Sok National Park ie a Jungle! We had afew lil friends staying with us aswell. A ghekko and his friends the mozzies! They gave me 20 bites! We were there for 3 days doing tubing down the river in truch tires and a boat trip to floating raft houses. Houses made from bamboo that are tied to islands and the just float there pretty cool! There we did kayaking but Im not very good so craig got annoyed at me!
Next we travelled 8 hrs by coach (i wouldnt recommed it!) to Krabi - Al Namal. Where we stayed in another bunglow this time on our own private beach ( i would recommed this!) we stayed there i think 3 nights. The bunglows were made from Bamboo so were quite damp and i added to my bite count to make it 32! We did elephant trekking which was really good! Craig advises never ride an elephant with a hangover! We also took a speedboat tour to all the surrounding islands including where "The Beach" was filmed very beautiful island and we snorkelled and saw a family of Nemo's (clown fish!) This was my favourite part of our trip so far.
From Krabi we travelled in another coach for a silly amount of hrs to Penang. Not much to tell you about Penang, we stayed for 2 days but there wasnt a whole lot to do and I really didnt like it there!
Next was Camoron Highlands home of Tea! I loved it here even if it did rain and was really cold! Another 2 days. Day 1 we just had a wonder round then had fresh tea and homemade strawberry scones, jam and cream! See why I liked it! Day 2 was a whole day visting Strawberry plantations a butterfly farm where I got abit freaked out when one landed on my shoulder and I hadnt noticed untill it tickelled my cheek! Next on to a Tea Plantation. The biggest I have ever seen! We saw the whole process og how they make tea from picking to packing. I even brought some and sent it home! (Lauren go to my house when it arrives and have a cuppa on me!) We walked to the highest point of this plantation for the great photos and view but on the way down I slipped and fell on mu bum scrapping my arm as I went! The tea lady at the bottom tried to help by puttinh "poision" on my arm! In english its Iodine! I unfortunetly cried like a baby it hurt so much!
Kula Lumpa! Those towers are fantastic! Especially at night! We were there for 2 days but I would love to go back! We went to the oldest Mosque and the Worlds biggest bird park. Went up the tollest communications tower for a great view of the city and had dinner under the two towers! Great days!
Next on to Melaka another place with not much to tell im afraid! I did learn from our local guide that if you put crushed Tumeric leaves on cuts they heal faster with no scar and it worked! Just have red marks now.
Last stop Singapore - I loved it! So clean but they have odd rules like no eating or drinking to the underground! 4 days we had in total but only 1 with our group. We went to Singapore Zoo (its huge!) Sentosa Island which is a theme park sort of island with a dolphine lagoo show and a tubogon ride. This was also the place for my 1st shared dorm hostel and I have to say it wasnt that bad! I actually like it!
Now we are in Cairns Australia and I love it! Ill update soon and more oftern I promice! Postcards are on their way and Ill eventually call soon! (Sorry its such a long read!)
Karly and Craig xxx
