Hope yo are all well?
Well yesterday we arrived in to Auckland which was only a 2 hour and a half flight which was nice! However took us ages to get through customs as was so busy.We were really sad to leave Fiji, as we had such a crackin time there we made Mama cry when we left bless her!!! the Friday night before we left she put on a massive barbeque for us and got the cavoholics in with some sing songs which was cool, also our friend Rico (Fijian GUY) we met on ROBINSON CRUSOE turned up which was really nice.
Well we are here in Auckland city staying at a hostel called the backpackers Plaza hostel which is really central and only works out around 10 pound a night for a 4 bed dorm it took us about an hour to find aswell as the stupid bus driver told us the wrong stop. The temprature here is not quite as hot as Fiji bit is still quite warm but more humid and it was raining yesterday. but its quite nice not to be sweating buckets all the time haha. Lastnite we went for a couple of beers at an Irish Bar called O'carrols beer is quite expencive 8 dollars a bottle, but otherwise we have noticed that we are getting a preety good exchange rate at the moment almost 3 dollars to the pound. we just headed for an early nite.our room has air conditioning and is bloody freezing wish we had that back in fiji.
This morning i woke up before the guys do i had a shower and headed down the road to have a sneaky look in the clothes shop. Its all fairly cheap also bpught myself and really nice cappacino. When i got back we all went to go and sort out our travels for the rest of the trip which took a good two hours as we wanted to get the best deal. We found out that hiring a campervan is going to be far to expensive for our budget so what we are doing is. we have hired a car for 3 days starting tommorow and heading up north of Aukland to the Bay of Islands which is supposed to ve really nice. We are then dropping the car back here and picking up the Sheepdog tour (which i believe is the one you did Fran?) so really looking forward to it. also with this we can take as long as we want to travel down, and only cost us around two hundred pounds we got a preety good discount. and a fijian guy booked it from a hostel here so it took forever with Fiji time and allxhahax
After this we headed and looked around some shops dan and kev bought some Oakley sunglasses which they are proper chuffed with as they cost double in the uk. and i got a bikini and some nice sandals.
we have now just finished our dinner which we made in the hostel kitchen (good old pasta, i now feel sick after eating to much) and we are going to head down to the marina for some drinks with some girls we met earlier. i will write back as soon as we get back from our little riad trip.
love and miss you all loads Karley and Danx
