Hi all forgot to say on my last blog that me and kurt got bumbed from economy to premier on out trip to Sydney from SIngapore. We arrived in Sydney at the Woodducj Inn early in the morning. On the plane met a lovely women called Maurel who was from Sydney she gave us her phone number in case we had any problems. Jet lag finally kicked in and we spent the majority of the day in bed. In the evening we went to Darling Harbour for something to eat. Then back to the hostel. We have found out Australia does not sell boose in supermarkets you have to go to special bottlle shops for it and its expensive. Have decided only to stay in the two nights as Sydnery to me is like London busy and expensive. Have devided instead to go to the Blue Mountains for a night.
19/10/10 - Up early today decided to walk the sights instead of take the explorer. Saw the sydney harbour bridge and opera house. Also went on a cruise along the river. Also went to the Australian Museum which was intersting. It was also international food festival out there so went to that as well. Was invited to GAFF by an Australian backbacker but decided against as off to the Blue Mountyains tomorrow. Instead went to bottle shop and spent evening in playing cards.
20/10/10- Arrived at Blue Mountains around afternoon time. Was shattered after the two hour train journey to get there but it was worth it. I experienced another new travel system a triple decker train which only cost $7 for 2 hours around 5 pound English money wouldnt get that back home. Went for a walk toEcho Point and the views were amazing. Then went on a 3.5 hour bush walk which was tireing but beautiful. We stayed in Katoomba which is like an old fashion village where no where was open to eat at 9pm so we ended up having a Dominoes which isnt the same as back home. The people were very much into humting.
21/10/10- Walked to the three sisters which is another bushwalk doen a steep cliff, legs and bum are beginning to hurt now and were both not as fir as we thoguht lol. Then had 2 hours back to Sydney. Boarded the Greyhound to Port Maqurie at 7pm arrived at 2am in the morming. Nothing was open walked about 10 minutes to our hostel to find that was closed to and it said not check in's after 11pm. Cause Iv got an English phone and kurts phone will not work anywhere a couple of backbackers helped us out and gave us their phone to ring the owner. He was really nice and gave us our room which luckily had no one in so we did not wake anyone. After 2 hours later a girl we had met ont he bus turned up she had gone to the YHA but there was no room so had came here.
Had lay in toaday have decided to chill out today as it has been manic. Walked down to the beach only to find neither of us had backed the towels duh so back at he hostel now looking at a whale watching tour to do tomorrow. Love you all xxx
