Monday Luang Prabang - got up at the crack of dawn to feed the monks. After breakfast travelled down the Mekong river to visit some Buddha caves that were impressive, bumped into some elephants on the way. Forgot to say the other day whilst driving to Vang Vieng a lorry passed us with 2 elephants on board (no jokes that they should be in the trunk please). We had a guide called Ponsy which makes a change from our other guides - Pong, Thong & Dong. Visited a whisky village where they had a very basic distillation process - didn't stop us sampling though, and a purchase was obligatory, unlike the silk factory which was deemed 'too touristy'. Found an amazing chill out bar/restaurant just over the river from our hotel, had to cross a bamboo bridge to access it, which had a toll on it. Managed to sneak back over for free under the cover of darkness. Now on our 6th currency and K is out on a spending mission getting rid of our excess Kip before our exit from Laos in the morning.
