Happiness Is The Road
We had a brilliant view for breakfast today by the river. This had been one of the best places we've stayed up until now. Just as we were leaving our neighbour (the guy who I'd asked for directions yesterday) came over to talk. He was originally from the UK but came to Australia in the 60's. He's never been back to the UK, very sensible chap. He talked to us about loads of things including Tasmania, his life story and Toyota campervans but not in a boring way. He was really interesting to talk to. We left the camp site at about 11 and drove to the beach at Ocean Grove. We had a walk here on the sand and through the surf for about an hour and then drove to Geelong. We are stopping here on our way through to Melbourne. We are getting the camper van serviced in Geelong tomorrow. On our way there we stopped for some food shopping. We saw an Aldi and went there first to see if we could get any bargains and then went to Woolworths for the rest of the stuff. We then went to find the camp site which was near the river. It was a good site with excellent showers. It was right next to a concrete highway flyover but we didn't mind this as it was interesting watching the traffic. We just chilled for the rest of the day.
