Happiness Is The Road
We had a lovely peaceful night and awoke to the fantastic view we had of the lake. The weather was much better today with some splashes of blue amongst the cloud. We decided to stay here another night. After a late brekky we went for a walk along the edge of the lake. The sun was poking through some more now and it was lovely and warm. We followed the path alongside the lake with it's backdrop of mist clad mountains. There were lots of beautiful and colourful flowers lining the path and we really enjoyed the walk. After this we returned to the camper van and spent the rest of the day chilling out and enjoying the great view with the only sounds being that of nature. We were visited again by the rabbits and quite a few birds. The wonderful tranquility however was shattered around 8pm when a huge camper van appeared and parked up not far from us. The doors lunged opened and this camper van appeared to vomit what appeared to be six Italians out onto the grass! They were shouting, laughing and 'woop wooping' at the top of their voices. They were skanky looking blokey blokes and hard looking women. Nearly everywhere we go we come across loud, obnoxious, inconsiderate and annoying people who are incapable of being quiet. It is a sad fact that no one seems to consider other people anymore. It's all about 'me me me' with most people at the expense of others. We have observed that anyone from a country who drives on the right is usually far more annoying than anyone who drives on the correct side of the road! After a short while they walked past our camper van on their way to the camp kitchen and we watched with incredulity as one of the cheeky f**kers lifted our picnic table up and dropped it down seemingly to see whether or not it was fixed to the floor. They were obviously neanderthal 'piiiiiiiicniiiiiiiiiiiic taaaaaaable' types who get tunnel vision for them and we thought they were going to rob it from us as they didn't have one. We kept the picnic table in our sight and watched out for anyone coming near it. We obviously didn't want to use the picnic table as they're horribly overrated but there was no way these skanks were going to have it. Later on when went to the amenities we couldn't help but notice the all pervading smell of rancid vegetable oil (sunflower or canola) coming from the kitchen. It is vile stuff and we come across this smell frequently. We see so many people going to the kitchens loaded with big plastic bottles of this ****. It is one of the main reasons why we hate going in camp kitchens. Why people subject their bodies to this vile stuff is beyond me but the 'sheep' are being conned by the mainstream that this stuff is healthy. It is toxic and should be avoided. Anyhow only retching slightly from the rancid aroma of vegetable oils we retreated back to our camper van. We took it in turns sleeping with one of us always guarding the picnic table!!! Only joking we didn't do this but we half expect to wake up in the morning to find the picnic table gone!
