Philippines, Philippines
My hubby and I went on our honeymoon trip to Makati, Phillipines recently. We were very excited about the trip especially me since it was my first time. It's the third time for hubby. Thanks to AirAsia for the affordable flight tix.
Our flight jetted off exactly at 1340 hours from KK. We talked throughout the whole flight, and it was our second time being in a flight together which was rather refreshing being a newlywed.
The flight attendants handed the immigration form to us which is to be handed over to the immigration upon our arrival later. There was a particular section in the form which stated that a passanger is allowed to bring in no more than 10,000 pesos into the country.
Fortunately, my hubby had hinted me earlier on how to cheat our way out by bringing in more pesos .
Upon our arrival at Clarks airport at 1630 hours, we had to go through immigration check. I had already practiced my lines should the officer ask me tricky questions about how much pesos I have in hand. Well, lucky enough he didn't ask and my, the officer is easy on the eyes. (my husband is always the best la )
We took a bus from the airport to Philantranco bus station in Pasay. It was a 2 hours bus trip.
I was appalled at how the people drive in the Phillipines. They really have a great level of tolerance as my hubby puts it. Cars swerved from every direction just to get to their destination, buses honking at other vehicles despite being at wrong side of the road. I find it amusing because with all the havoc on the road, suprisingly they didn't get into an accident compared to how it is here in Malaysia.
After the 'gruelling bus ride, we finally reached Philtranco bus station. I see another side of Phillipines there. There were a lot of individual rides, like the jeepney and motor trishaws (i don't know what they call it there).
Hubby and I then made our way to the taxi. The taxi driver was very accomodating by filling us in all the important facts on his country. He introduced himself as Mar, and he gladly offered his service to us should we need transportation around Makati. I giggled silently when I heard my hubby trying to do his best pinoy impression whilst talking to the driver.
We arrived at our hotel, Prince Plaza II soon after. The hotel is located along Delarosa Street in Legaspi Village. My hubby proceeded with check in amd not lon after that, we were ask to choose our room. The first room is at the 14th floor, looks cosy but it was all white. I can't handle all white so I asked to see the other room on 7th floor. It's a little smaller but I thought it was nice enough for me and hubby.
