Sunday--Today was the Highland Adventure Tour. It was an absolutely perfect day weather wise. Everyone here keeps saying we brought the good weather with us..I think we lucked out. It was a long day, but the scenery was amazing!! We boarded the bus around 8 a.m. and headed off. We stopped in this adorable town Pitlochry and had some time to roam around. It was still early so things were just opening up. The rest of the bus ride was a little shaky. The scenery was beautiful, but if you are someone who gets car sick easy, this would have been rough. We were on these little windy roads, it was a little scary at times. Seeing the sheep everywhere and the fuzzy cows made it a little easier. We arrived in Inverness around 12:30. We took the boat ride on Loch Ness. It was such a great day for a boat ride. We didn't see the famous monster though, but it was interesting to hear all the myths about Nessie. I wish we had more time to browse around the town, but we had to return to the bus to head off. Our next stop was Fort William. I can't describe how awesome the mountains were. You could still see snow on the top. We then stopped in Glen Coe. As beautiful as the hills were the story behind Glen Coe almost left an eary feeling..The Scottish history is very insteresting. Our bus driver, Gus, was very informative and made the trip interesting. We had one final stop and then passed by Stirling Castle and the William Wallace Monument. We go back later this week to see Stirling and Roslyn Chapel up close and personal, so I can't wait to do that. We returned to the Royal Mile around 8 pm. We all then headed to Belushi's for a bite to eat. It was a very long day but well worth it.
