Right! finally here's what i've been up to... (Tried to upload all my pictures but unfortunately just as I was going to put everything up my battery died!! what a nightmare so figure i'll have to fill you all in with words rather than pictures!
So it all began at 5.45am on Sunday morning, after a very restless night getting excited about the trip! Dad, Dill, Rosie, Sam and I set off for Heathrow! Carried my massive rucksack through the airport which was interesting getting used to having such a huge weight on the old back!! met natalie inside the terminal, along with her mum and dad and chris! said our goodbyes, a few little tears were shed! and then we went through customs where natalie's bag got stopped!!! great start! turned out she had put her sun tan lotion in her hand luggage, what a mistaka to maka!! so they threw it out :S which was not good considering it cost like 18pounds!
So got on the plane, little bit late but was fine, watched a few films, had a little bit of sleep after a glass of wine :) and then eventually found oursleves in Bahrain.-which we were shocked to find out was an island!!! waited round a little bit there and then set off on our second flight to Bangkok! Our headphones wouldn't work so ended up just sleeping most of the flight, woken up only by turbulence and an older man fainting!!
Finally arrived in Bangkok very tired, still feeling like we were in a dream! couldn't quite believe we were in Bangkok! After an agonising wait in line at passport control we finally picked up our bags and went in search of some way to get to our hotel, found help desk and they pointed us in the right direction for the airport bus, so we ended up getting that, missing the first one by seconds! got on the bus and the women seemed to make out it was very easy to get to the hotel, HOWEVER, the bus driver was shouting out the stops but at the volume of a mouse! so we ended up getting off at the last stop! whoops! walked in the blistering heat for a while in what we hoped was the right direction as i didn't really understand the lady i asked! then a friendly tuk tuk driver told us we were near and eventually we found it and were soooo relieved to get into the air-conditioned lobby! Got up to the room and slept for like 6 hours because we were so tired! (this was at about 12pm Thailand time!) got up and had some dinner in the hotel restaurant, and then went back to sleep at about 9pm! although natalie only managed to fall asleep for 2 hours which was not good....
