The ten of us found a perfect room that fit us comfortably. After settling in we set off to explore the city of Saigon. We wandered up, down and through the streets fighting off people trying to sell you everything you don't need. Once we were out of the core city center, the energy became more relaxed and we were able to find where we wanted to go. The Vietnam war remnants museum sparked interest in the group, so we spent the afternoon learning about the malicious acts of terror during this era. That evening after the museum we celebrated Chris's birthday in style! Starting off with twenty eight cent beers and stuffing our faces full of Vietnamese food, we found an amazing bar and then…well that's just it, we don't remember! All in all it was a fantastic night and I perfect way to celebrate a birthday. Waking up slowly the next morning, a hand full of us took a visit to the Cu Chi tunnels. These series of intricate tunnels were used in the Vietnam war and gave the Viet Cong an advantage on their home land. A claustrophobic nightmare as we crawled through them one by one with inches around us. It was incredible to be underneath the battleground where soldiers spent most of their days during the war. Afterwards I decided being in Vietnam and maybe only having this opportunity once in my life that it would be a good idea to play with some guns. I purchased a chip for an AK-47 and unloaded it on to unsuspecting enemy targets. Too much fun! Our group is shrinking as we say farewell to John, new opportunities are coming about, as we jump on a bus tomorrow morning to Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital.
