The first night we arrived in Florence we ran into some less than great weather. Florence is a very old city and is home to Michelangelo's David. Unfortunately because we arrived on a Monday, we were unable to see the statue because the museum was closed. After spending a few days walking around Florence we took off to Venice. A city like none other, and a destination I have been looking forward to since the beginning of our travels. Venice is a maze, with small streets barely wide enough to walk through, and rivers for roads. The final night, we decided to attend the opera which was a live performance of the story of Don Giovanni. Going in with unsure expectations, we were blown away. We had originally purchased tickets in the cheapest and highest section, but with a little charm from Dinyar, he was able to get us a private box directly in front of the stage.
Next stop, Croatia!
