What a wonderful evening. Lovely three course meal in the restaurant in front of the fountain. LO had beef ravioli, followed by swordfish and then White chocolate parfait. After a great night sleep a chance to view the lodge in daylight did not disappoint. Each lodge is spread out over a large area of the coffee plantation which gives privacy. With a gardened restaurant, and bar area around a fountain, add to that a quiet pool area and a few other amenities and you are talking heaven. Arrived in mt kilimanjaro after a bit of turbulence in our propeller powered plane. A 45 min shuttle in the dark to Arusha coffee lodge built on a coffee plantation, we could see the faint outline of mt kilimanjaro in the dark. Greeted by Theo, one of the owners with iced coffee, even in the dark you could see the place is amazing. A good flight after the first delay, plenty of on demand movies and food surprisingly good. An in flight announcement for the honeymoon couple but not in the way they would of wanted, it was to tell Jamie he'd left his wedding ring in the toilet!!
