Spain and Morocco 2017
Set out wearing my shorts. Big mistake should've been the long trousers today. Lots lots of scratches on my legs (and everyone else's too for that matter!!) pulled off a couple of leeches at the end of the day. Foot bled for awhile. Pretty miserable day drizzling and listening to whiney super-scared Debbie from Scotland. She was walking so close to me at one stage that she kept clipping my shoes. Eventually told her, coz she's too stupid to work it out for herself, to back off!! We had these really cool trekking sticks, cut from the jungle. I stayed way up ahead, mainly so I didn't have to listen to the whining, and get collected when the moaner slips and falls!! Homestay was extremely basic - no electricity cold water shower take your torch to loo in middle of the night. Slept under mossie nets on thin bedding - I shared with the whiner. The guides cooked us up an amazing picnic style dinner. Went for an elephant lurch up the hill sitting on it's back in a horrible homemade bamboo seat/basket. It's a bloody long way down from atop the elephant. We also went to a nearby waterfall that involved another quite complicated descent for the group especially those in flip-flops. Not me though haha I'm wearing my fabulous teva trekking sandals. Great buy those.
