When it Rains it Pours!! Waking up this morning I was greeted with a huge downpour of rain that lasted about 3 hours. The rain was a welcome occurrence as it meant I didn't need to stress about rushing out to visit one of Natals famous outer beaches and instead take it easy and hopefully workout how I can get to the airport tommorow. I started the day again with some Brazilian coffee with a little sugar and salt (a tiny bit of salt is used to take out the bitterness of the coffee). When the rain had stopped I walked up to the Mall where I had heard the bus to the new airport made a stop. I asked person after person and was given 10 different answers and directions to where the bus stop was supposed to be located - Brazilians are funny in that even if they don't know the answer to a question they seem to guess and make something up. After 2 hours of walking round in circles I was no closer to finding my stop until all of a sudden I seen the bus I needed to catch out of the corner of my eye - from this I worked out that I could take this bus from anywhere along the avenue. With the bus sorted I made my way back to the apartment for an afternoon workout and some lunch. Walter returned early from work and we decided to head out for a walk around the neighborhood and pick up a few beers on the way home. I decided to walk a bit more and went for a bit of a fast paced walk to the mall and back. Bruna got back early so we all hung-out had a few drinks and chatted. Walter decided to cook some plantains - Colombian fried bananas twice cooked in burning hot oil - the result was almost like a French fry and very delicious. The rest of the evening I spent watching films as Walter and Bruna went to bed early as they had work in the morning.
OBSERVATIONS:
- Heavy Rains - Flooding
- 20 different bus companies, no schedules and people have no idea
