This evening started with a little work, as Julie was putting final touches on her dissertation presentation and Thom napped. We then set out for cafe downtown. We explored Rue Saint Catherine shopping and settled on Cafe Vasco da Gama on Rue Peel. Julie had an awesome mocha and Thom had cappuccino. Both of us had a caramel sea salt chocolate.
Later we set out for Thom's late mock trial. It was pretty boring, so we left for dinner at 8:30. We walked around for a while on Rue de la Montagne and Rue Bishop, then we decided on Queue de Cheval for a very fancy dinner. We shared Julie's rock lobster and spinach and Thom's shrimp and champagne mushrooms. Our waiter, Luis Lopez was very entertaining and a very good salesman, giving us his card when we left.
Late evening, but well worth it!
