Last weekend, us 'not so grey' nomads headed off with our new camper trailer to gold coast holiday park in Helensvale, qld. The park is in a great location if theme parks are what u r there for. We were there to go to outback spectacular on sat night. The staff at the park were friendly, and the park itself was clean and really well appointed. We went in a group, do we got to see what the ensuite powered sites were like, and they were beautiful. The pool area...

Spent the day out on a two island day trip, first part of the day spent at the beautiful daydream island, had a great lunch at the mermaid restaurant which was included in our fare for the day, can't complain about this place, although for bj and I prob 3 nights would do us, as it is purely island, with very little to do, perfect place to spend on yr butt by the pool. Spent the last part of our day at Long Island which we have both said we would not bother going...

Airlie beach is amazing, fast becoming a firm favourite. Arrived here 5 days ago, and have been impressed ever since. We are staying at a place called summit apartments, which is at the top if a very nasty hill... People have been so friendly and although wet season we have had the most amazing weather. We have been out to Bowen, horseshoe bay, dingo beach, cedar creek falls, shute harbour, hook island and whitehaven beach, and we have been blown away by the shee...
