Okay - so obviously I am already running into some technical difficulties with the site as Somerset, WI is not in Albania! And there isn't a spell check function... so allow me to apologize up front for any/all errors!! heehee

Good Evening! As I prep for my trip of a lifetime... finding a good site to log my travels was a must! I hope this site will be as fun to post at it will be to read!

June 12-21 - Switzerland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy! The first part of this trip will be business and the second half will be my boss/friend, Brenda and I playing tourist!!

Air and hotels have all been booked for weeks and now I have to review my closet and luggage to make sure I have what I need. I already have many lists created and edited many times over. Everyone I talk to and everything I read says ~ pack ONLY what you need. Not an easy task! Especially when it's both a business and a vacation built into one trip! But I'll try my best!

I have logged endless hours (just ask Tim... if he hears one more thing about this trip he will kill me!) doing research on the internet on hotels, day trips, and must-see spots. I've spent hours at the book store picking out travel books, reading and highlight the best of the best. But with all that done and said - I think the best thing for me to do is just go and enjoy what comes my way. I think it'll be useless to try to cram so many must-see's into such a short trip.

But here's the plan for now. It seems to change day by day...

Fly from Minneapolis on Saturday, June 12 arriving in Zurich on Sunday morning (Zurich Time). Catch a bus with the Barix clan and head to Black Forest, Germany for a 3 day teambuilding event.

Return to Zurich on Tuesday evening with an evening out and about with the Barix clan.

Spend a few hours at the Barix HQ in Zurich and then off to Lucerne for 2 days .

Friday, June 18th, Catch a flight from Zurich to Florence, Italy at noon - arriving in Florence by 2pm.

Train to Rome on Saturday and fly home on Monday.
