Well g'day lovely people!
Sydney is a fantastic place to be. Arrived on Friday around 4pm. I was quite glad to leave that crazy hostel in Christchurch. It turns out it was a hostel for German lesbians - ah well, you live and learn. At least I got to do my washing for free. Also found a lovely restaurant nearby call The Bicycle Thief and enjoyed a scrummy dinner of fish cakes, followed by pasta and washed down with a cheeky bellini!
So, more about Sydney. Met a guy called Jamie last night for drinks. He is a friend of Helen's (i.e she pulled him one night and they stayed in touch!) It was nice to have a proper night out. Went to a great bar and got back around 11ish. It's a bit chilly at night here - I keep forgetting it's winter.
Woke up this morning around 8.30 and went for my free brekkie at the hostel. thought it would be rubbish cereal but turned out to be a full fry up - bingo! Stuffed my chubby little face and also took a banana to have for lunch - see, I know how to cut costs!
Met Nadia, Loynes and Kade for a trip to the Taronga Zoo. It was a fab day made even better by being accompanied by 3 yr old Kade. He is such an adorable little boy and managed to spot all the animals from the movie Madagascar!
Nadia (for those of you who don't know her!) was my friend and colleague in London and has now been transferred to Sydney (lucky moo!) it's great to see her and her family having a blast in Sydney.Â
Anyway, that's all for now folks. I'm hoping to take a trip to Bondi tomorrow and then maybe the Blue Mountains on monday where I may be able to hold a koala bear - hee hee, i might stick it in my back pack!! I'm also hoping to rope Loynes into doing he harbour bridge walk with me!
