Hi all,

Made it to Byron Bay in one piece after my longest bus jouney yet (thank god I had lots of preparation in NZ)  The bus left Sydney at 9pm and arrived into BB at 9.30am this morning.  Slept a little bit on the bus but it's not very comfy.  Had my goodie bag with my sarnies, tim tams and bananas so I was all set.  Kade wasn't very happy to see me go and said he was very cross with me!

First impressions of BB are hot!  Excellent, time for some serious tanning.  Got to the Aquarius backpackers and have a female only dorm.  My goodness, do I know what I'm letting myself in for?  There are 10 of us in one room with only 1 bathroom!  I've got the last bed - a top bunk!!!  Tried climbing up already and thought the whole thing was going to topple over.  That'll be fun after a few beers later!  The whole place is a MESS!  Clothes everywhere, food wrappers etc....  I'm sure i'll get used to it!

Went out for some brekkie - eggs benedict (yep, I'm still not into this cost cutting lark!) then went to the beach.  Armed with my factor 30 I plonked myself on the beach and plugged in my Ipod.  About an hour later at 2pm I woke up freezing cold.  The sun had gone in!  That's no good so I carried on my sleep in my bunk - very comfy.

Met a few girls from the dorm so may be going out for a few beers tonight.  Tomorow I might do something energetic like walk to the beach!  I hear you can do kayaking with Dolphins here so I might give that a try.
