From the moment I put on my helmet at home the rain started.I was prepared with my waterproof suit, but still the roads were awful with spray.
I filled up at the local supermarket, and headed off down the motorway.
The next thing I see is my fuel gauge showing the fuel tank emptying quicker than a pint of beer at a student night.I pulled off the motorway and checked my fuel tank, which was full.Well I assume that is the fuel gauge playing games.Pressing on, I assumed the rest of the gauges are working fine.I got to within 10 miles of the tunnel and my low fuel warning light came on insisting I had only 2 miles left.Assuming I was about to run out of fuel, I go fill the tank. The tank will only accept 2/3 the normal amount, which means this part of the gauges is not working correctly either. So I now have no fuel gauge, and no reliable fuel warning light.I measure the mileage on my speedo, which seem to be accurate, and decide on a fuel range I know I can accomplish per tank, no matter what the faulty gauges say.
At least the weather is sunny here now.
