After many months of preparation we are two days away from departure. The bags are packed with the lightest gear we can carry and still stay warm in the desert. We are looking forward to escaping from the election beat up and not having to look at or listen to either Rudd or Abbott spuke on about how they will save the country.
Need to build up muscles in order to lift 30kg tent onto the roof...First stop Mitchell and a dip in the mineral springs then onto Winton before we venture into the Diamantina NP...we hope the rain doesn't fall on the dusty Diamantina.
