Hi and welcome!

This is my blog about my summer holiday 2010. This kind of travelling is kind of a tradition that dates back to 1998, when i did my first summer holiday by my own through Europe. The first years, i made holidays by car, but since i dont own one anymore, it is plane that rules nowadays. (I know, that i pollute the air..."but"...)

This year, my holiday starts on june 24th, when i travel to a summer house on the "Orust" island some 60km north from Göteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden. There i´ll spend the whole Midsummer feast. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midsummer

On june 27th i´ll start the real holiday, by taking the plane again at 1:15pm from Göteborg - Landvetter airport via Riga, Latvia to Tromsø, Norway. When the plane lands in Riga, i´ve got round 4 hours time between the flights, so i get a change to meet my dear beloved latvian friends. The plan is to go for a dinner together :) Then, after the short break in Riga the plane takes me to the Polarbyen - Polar city Tromsø, where i arrive in the evening.

On june 29th my continues to Bodø over the beautiful Lofoten islands. There i get some time to hike in the nature and film and photograph nature and my passion: Trains! (I am a train geek...;)

July 1st takes me to Trondheim, to meet my norwegian friends and some more filming and photographing.

Then, july 5th i´m heading towards Stavanger on the west coast of Norway, where i get to hike to the Pullpit rock called Preikestolen.

After Stavanger on july 9th i fly over to Scotland, and the city of Aberdeen, which will be followed by London, UK.

On july 15th, it´s time to fly to Brussels, Belgium from where i continue directly to Antwerp. there i have again some friends to meet.

Time to move again. On july 20th Tarom flies me to Bucharest, Romania. There i have surprice, surprice some friends too :)

July 25th it´s time to go to Athens, Greece, to my friends Angeliki and Dimitris & co.

August 1st, Aegean flies me to Barcelona, Spain, where i spend my last days of holiday. I used to live in this city, so it´s time to meet my dear friends over there.

So, i hope you will enjoy the ride, but there is one thing that you should know about me. I´m really lazy sometimes and it can take a while that i update this blog, but i try my best! :)

I stay in hotels and at my friends places only. No hostels etc. are suitable for a guy like me. :)
