What a wonderful day in Washington we had.
We first headed into Puyallup to visit with Robin and Steve. On the way we could see a hugh mountain in the background. It was Mt Baker. We met Robin at the house and she gave us a tour. She has a music studio where teachers come to teach their students (as well as doing it in the house). Steve is building her a second studio. The backyard is set up for great jam sessions and is beautifully landscapped with flowers.
As Steve had a stand at the Puyallup Farmer's Market we headed over there. He makes custom furniture - rustic. It was beautiful. I bought 2 candle holders made from wine bottles. They are going to look great on either side of the picture in our dining room.
There were lots of vendors, tons of flowers and plants and lots of food vendors. We had tacos - a wee bit more expensive than in Mexico though :-)
We then headed down to Bellingham, Washington and other friends from Melaque - John and Linda - came to our campsite. We had drinks - thanks to John who came bearing wine and beer - and then headed out for a quick tour. The tour included a stop at a Latin American store where Jack bought Manzana Lift.
Linda had made reservations at a beautiful restaurant right on the water's edge. We had mussels and salmon that was probably the best salmon I have ever had. Nightcaps back at the campground. It was wonderful seeing our friends.
