Our first day in Noosa we went to Australia Zoo. There was a free bus from the hostel which was good as tickets were quite expensive. It was a good day though! We went to the 'Crocoseum' which was awesome. Terry, Bindi and Robert Irwin were presenting the show. Bindi fed a crocodile which jumped out of the water which was crazy as she is only 13 and we saw 2 death rolls. They are massive, under the water they look small but when they jump out you get to see the real size of them. It was a great show. We also got to hold a koala, which is something that Rachel has wanted to do since arriving in Australia. It was so cute but heavy after a while. A bit smelly too. They do 500 poo's a day but luckily it held it in for us. It just latches on like teddy. During the day we prioritised seeing the animals which aren't in Colchester Zoo. We went to the Australian snake section to look at all the poisonous snakes so we know which ones to avoid and then went to the Kangaroo Haven. It was really cool because you could walk around with the Kangeroo's all around you. They were mainly just lying in the shade as it was a baking hot day but you could pet them easily.
We arrived back to the hostel around 6ish and got showered then the girls that were staying in our room came back too and we shared a few coronas with them before deciding the four of us would go for some drinks in a bar on the front. It was a nice evening chatting amongst ourselves, accompanied by a couple of bottles of wine! At the end of the night somebody mentioned Dominos pizza and Rachel jumped at the chance. SHOCK! So we ate the pizzas between us and headed back to the hostel, which may I add is probably one of the worst hostels we have stayed in. Boasting air conditioning that is never on at night just during the day when nobody is in the room. Shambles!
