I arrived safely in HK after a long but friendly flight. Once I had walked through the Arrivals Hall the sense of disorientation struck me...which probably wasnt helped by a rather odd Nicolas Cage movie and the constant tinging of mobile phones.
The airport was packed and spotting Kalo's face was a relief. We hung around the airport for a little while longer to wait for Daniel to arrive also. Once we were united, we grabbed the nearest bus and traveled into KowLoon center which is where Kalo lives (for the time being) with her sister. Having dropped off all our stuff, which seems to have got heavier since leaving the airport - we walked to the harbour where we could see the 'Central' / Hong Kong bay with all the amasing sky-scrappers. My camera couldnt justly portray the disney-like, neon bright sky line ... so instead Google might have to be the source of imagery!
Ate vietnamise (spelling...) food and went to a shish cafe/bar where we met some of Kalo's friends. Carol and Kai - both artists and musicians. Tomorrow or today is the festival of the dragon which sounds kinda exciting and 30 of us are having a meal at the familys home...i hear it is going to be an experience! Also i think i am getting my palm read at a local temple.
