Hi everyone
we have been very busy since we last updated.
In noosa we went to the famous australia zoo. the place is just a shrine to Steve Irwin. He face is everywhere! We held a koala and they bloody stink. Really really bad. Saw the croc show too. That was pretty damm kool.
After noosa we hopped down to Brisbane. Brisbane is a really kool city along the river. Best way to see brisbane is at night which we did at the top of a huge mountain! Really pretty city. We also got to see the christmas lights being turned on here, in shorts, flip flops and a t shirt. Mad!!!!!
From brisbane to surfers paradise on the Gold Coast. The beach here is massive!! Beautiful golden beach. Surfers itself is really high rise buildings. We went up to the top of the Q1 Tower, which is larger then the Eiffel Tower. The views from up here were incredible. Jon got bit by a crazy ant. Paiiinnnnn!!!
Also is surfers we went to Dreamworld theme park and white water world. The Tower Of Terror II was immense. Youtube it!!!!! Jon has now lost his voice. :)
After Surfers we went down to Coolangatta, which is the bottom end of the gold coast, and Queensland. Here we stood on the border of Queensland and New South Wales in a massive time warp as new south wales is 1 hour infront.
At this point we have travelled 1763 km, which is the same as travelling from penzance to edinburgh 3 times.
Were currently in Byron Bay. Most people we meet here have planned to stay for 3 days, but now have been here nearly 3 weeks. Its a really nice place with a nice beach and nice weather. We have mastered the waves here aswell!
Tomorrow we move onto Coffs Harbour as we get closer to Sydney and Christmas!!
Fact 1- Brisbane has the largest solar panelled christmas tree in the world
Fact 2- The australian coat of arms has an emu and kangaroo on it. They are the only native animals that cannot move backwards. They represent that australia is a country that is always moving forward and never back!
