Fun stuff:
Swimming in the Mediterranean sea was unforgettable. On the first day, I was bitten by a fish and the water was chilly (because we went in the afternoon) so I kept saying how much better the waters in Asia were. The next day, we swam at midday, the water was the perfect temperature for beating the hot sun and that's when I realised the beauty of the Mediterranean sea - no stinging itchy things on the water, no fishing boat to watch out for, not as many people in the water (ok... It's the end of season)... I could swim for ages with my eyes closed, not hit anything or anyone and not worry about getting stung by jellyfish! It was the one of the, if not the best swimming experience ever.
The ruins were very cool too. The Lycian tombs, the roman baths, all of them were awesome. I did a brief gangnam style dance in the amphitheater (bet the ancient citizens didn't see that one coming!!). Scaled the castle of genovia (was a bit scary for me)... The view of olympos beach from the top was breathtaking.
Saw the Chimaera - flames coming out of crevices on Mt Olympos. They are caused by gas coming out of the rocks which burst into flame upon contact with oxygen (as I was told). Lonely planet book said the exact composition of the gas is unknown but it is thought to contain methane.
