It was lovely having you home, even if for a sad reason. I just wanted to let your blog readers know what a great job you did with the eulogy for your grandpa.
Your Kitchen Sink drama blogs were superb - every-one, you should read them if you haven't. Does really get to the heart of all the issues around cultural relativism, etc. It's very stark when the cultural context is so different to th eone you know so well, but of course these issues are at play all the time in our own society especially the hypocrisy we live with daily (carefully recycling newspapers to do our bit, but not giving up our wealth in the face of children dying in many parts of the world through poverty). Whoops - getting a bit heavier than intended. But just to say, really nicely-observed. I think you should try your hand at a novel - one with a social worker's twist.
Much love Dad xx

Hi Liz,
Really enjoyed your reflective piece - I can always send you the Guardian Weekly if you need a fix! I'll email you, so this is just a "happy Christmas" message from me and also from your colleagues at Reel Access. We feel that we are missing your "balance" at the moment, but things are going OK.
Best wishes - keep up the blogs!

Hi Liz It's a very long time since we were in touch, but I have kept up to date with your news through David. It's been a long while too since I went to stay with your Mum and Dad in Sheffield. They will definitely be coming to stay in Lymm early in the New Year. This year has been quite difficult as my Mum( now 95 ) has been bedfast since the spring and we have been called to her deathbed several times.
I have been reading your wonderful travel tales with great interest. What a fantastic adventure! and how well you write.. I'm sure there must be a book in it. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I'm sure you will be very much missed. Much love Suexx

Hi Liz,
We've just read your latest blog and we are both so impressed with your talent. We loved it. We're doing okay at present. Your gran is walking, albeit slowly, without any aids and she is driving to lunches with her friends. We are looking forward very much to Christmas in Sheffield and will be so sorry you can't be there n person. However, you will be present in all our hearts. We love you so much. Take care. Gran and grandad. XXXX

Hi Lizzie
Delhi sounds to be getting nicer and nicer. I love to think about you going from yoga to Hindi lessons to the project, but the traffic and the moving buses, not so much. Dad and I are getting really stuck in to some wonderfully virulent colds, but can elicit no sympathy from friends and colleagues because they all had it first and much worse.
Do people have colds in Delhi - or something more exotic,
