Welcome home! I hope the sun shines for you. I hope I'll be over in June sometime so I'll look forward to seeing you then and hearing lots more stories about your trip.

Hi Josie,
I been catching up on the postcards, rocking time up north in the NT, and along Queensland Coast, I miss Magnetic so much we have booked a holiday up there in August! Looking forward to going to Asia in a couple of years, that boat sounded a bit mental... love the animal stories mind. We are gettting cooler here in Melbourne now, and I am starting my new job after Easter. It was so great having you to stay, glad it was a good break from the hostels. Its great to get a wee break sometimes! Enjoy the summer in the UK, see you over there in 2007.
Love Andy & Alex xx

Our Email has been up the spout for some months, but now we're on dear old BT again with a Broadband connection, got rid of 17 viruses, 2 of which were extremely persistant, and now I can dare to look at your photos!
I'm thinking of backpacking round the world myself, but not sure if I'll have the time because first I want to drive round Britain, Australia and California, do the great train journeys of the world - Trans America, Pacific India (OZ) and Trans Siberia; and volunteer for the VSO. I'll be about Grandma's age before I come back to blighty!
Talking of Grandma - she has found the cold weather trying as she got several windpipe infections, and you know how she hates to resort to antibiotics!
But we bought her a laptop for her 85th birthday and she took to it like a Trojan. We only had a few frantic calls about how she had lost 4 hours typing! She's in Istanbul at present, having written her memoirs and handed them to Vicky to edit! When she returns she has enrolled on a computers for beginners course. (Two bus journeys away and £100 for 12 weeks! She should have come to B'ham - free and within a mile from home!)
Your photos are unimaginably stunning. What a record!
Love you and your spirit so much!

SO JEALOUS!!! Looks lovely! Thailand is about 24h away for us, so I dont think I'll be there anytime soon! Have a fantastic time! We're having our bit of winter at the moment, lots of storms and rain! Cant really complain though, we had a fantastic weekend of sking in Tahoe this weekend which was proper california sunny warm skiing!

Josie,
Glad to hear your experiance of Thailand is going so well. It seemed so good that I (along with the lovely Miss Conetta) will be winging our way over there on 6th April for a couple of weeks. Will you be around? We land on ther 7th (my Birthday!) then fly down to Koh Chang (near the Cambodia coast, part of a marine nature reserve...which is nice!). Will be there until 14th and then fly back to Bangkok until 18th when we head home. Not quite up to your marathan stint, but better then wet Blighty!
Would be great to see you over there but if not I'll see you soon after in 'The Park'.
See you soon.
Martin

Hello Josie, hope you are still having a fantabulosie time. I'm looking forward to having you back in the park for late night drinks and late morning croissants. I hope that you are kind of looking forward to coming back, but that life is a ball. Erm, don't know what to say! Take care, Helen.

Good luck on your journey! I have to say I dont recall the crab incident but I do share your fear of being a bit intrepid about sea creatures. We have sting rays here in the summer but nothing really poisonous!
Have fun! Still jealous! I finished my 105 mile bike ride in cold, rain, hail and thunderstorms. We were rewarded by a huge double rainbow at one point and everyone managed to finish, albeit pretty much in the dark! Lets hope my next bike adventure is a little more sunny!!

Crikey, be careful of those crocs. We've been watching too much Ray Mears' survival stuff and he mentioned one on the north coast that was 15 metres long AAAGH!!
