It is a month until I leave on my first European adventure. I have been reading up on all of the places I hope to visit, making checklists, but all the while trying not to be too organised. From what I hear, the best adventures are those that happen spontaneously.

But how does one be spontaneous when there is so much anticipation!? It is 38 days until I go (but who is counting, really). I am certainly a list-writing type, and my free time is taken up with researching for my holiday. Is it best to just sit back and let the world come at you, or to be a little prepared?

Will I know how to get around the Paris metro, which trains to catch etc? From a million miles away it seems so confusing. I'm hoping it all gets a lot clearer when I get there.

Anyway, I want to keep this travel blog while I am away. But knowing me, just like when I try to keep a diary, I always fall behind. Hopefully I will keep up with this blog!
