Police report fail......Butterfly farm attempt... Hasta Iquitos 2nd slow boat to Yarimanguas
I went to the bank as I had been instructed to pay for the police report but there was roughly 200 people in line, so I went to the station asking them if I could just pay them directly, of course they said no. So I went with an officer to the bank to pay for the reports, but he took me to a totally different place right beside the hostel I was staying at where could've gone on my own!!!
So we return to the station with the paper I need to get the report. Except now the man who was there the other day cannot find the report in the amazingly organized filing system they had......
So he goes on the computer to try to find it, but I guess they forgot to hit the save button.. Ahhhh
So I just turn around and walk out and I'm trying really hard to block it from my memory!!!
In the Hostel I met Sarah, from Germany and Ramona, from Switzerland. We were all to take boats today, Sarah was going to Ecuador on a 7 to 8 day Jorney, Ramona and I were going to get the boat to Yarimaguas. First we decided to go to the port to check the boat times and then go to a butterfly farm, but by the time we were going to go to the farm we decided it was too late and decided to abort the plan and head back to the hostel and just go straight to the boats to make sure we caught them on time.
Our boat was the Gilmer 4, almost twice as big as a last boat I was on, here we met Bert from Belgium, who was in the Hammock next to us.
