Bangkok - STA visit and Lub D Siam Square
An early start for me today - my flight transfer was at 7.15am ready to get me to Bangkok for lunchtime. I was staying at the Ramada D'Ma Hotel in Pratunam overnight, so headed straight there to drop off my bags (and laundry - boy, did it smell after swimming in the sea and mangroves!?!) before going to the STA Travel Thailand office to meet with JJ. JJ and I have corresponded for several years but never met; we spent quite some time talking business before heading out to Siam Square. We went to the Paragon Centre where we wandered around the fantastic food court, and had a quick drink before dinner. After dinner we went to visit the Lub D Siam Square - sister to the Silom property and the newest in the group. It was a fantastic site inspection; the hostel has been well planned and occupies a great location directly in front of the National Stadium BTS station.

I headed back to the hotel to get rid of my heels and drop off my laptop, then went to Lang Suan Night Market to see what bargains I could pick up - a couple of handbags and a few ties later I decided on a quick massage before returning for a very peaceful night's sleep.
