I thought I would write a journal now and finish off Australia before moving to New Zealand. We arrived in Sydney Thursday morning which was cool, we had already booked our accomodation so we just checked in which was awesome after getting off a 12 hour bus journey.Sydney has been so cool, we didn't realise it was Mardi Gras, which is a huge gay festival, but it is awesome it was on while we were here. It gave the whole city an extra buzz, not that it really needs it.
The hostel we are staying in is really good, they have loads of free stuff, like a free bbq on the bach the other day, followed by a free evening meal in a club. Going in Chronological order though, on our first day we just walked round the city, going in shops and just getting used to it. It has a really ncie feel to it, not like brisbane, which just felt like another big city. Sara found some Uggs which made her happy... Lauren too once we told her. We went out for a drink in the evening, meeting up with Yvette who we met in Asia. I had just gone out in my thongs and shorts which i thought was fine, but once i had made the mission of getting to empire, a big club in kings cross, i got turned away. But i saw a really amazing beat boxer, so that made my night. The next day Sara and I went to Bondhi beach, Lauren is resting alot which is a good thing because everyone wants her to get better as quick as possible. After lying on the beach for a while Sara and I did the Bondhi to Coogee walk, which was highly recommended. It was awesome and some of the accidental detours we took made it better, if not more painful.lol.
The rest of our time we have spent at a free bbq, which was amazing, such nice weather with really sound people. Then we went back to 'the Gaff', the name of the club and had a free meal, meant we had more moeny for drink, before going out to see the mardi Gras parade. It was wicked and had such a cool atmosphere to it, there are about half a million people who flock in for it,the whole city was booming, The parade went on for so long, about 2 hours nearly. After that there was free alcahol for an hour so we went and made the most of it, I cant remember much more until today. Went to see the Harbour Bridge and Opera House which was everything i expected. Then watched a comedian on the streets, he was really funny but very close to the edge, talking about the German war and stuff, doing the hitler wave to a German in the audience.lol. Thats about it for Sydney , leaving for Auckland nice and early tomorrow morning. Hopefully about a week today should be sky diving!!!
Mum and Dad dont worry about a book on San Fransisco I have bought one. Everyone take care and i will see you soon. Time is gonna fly.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
