hay sorry to get back to you guys so late thanks for all the messages ive been really busy

well im in the capital of laos now which is kind of average compared with the last couple of days. I booked a tour through the chiang mai hostel i was staying out which turned out to be good valley. the tour incluided mini van to the thai border city meals and one nights accomadation and the slow boat ticket which took 2 days.

so any way we cross into laos get thru immigration and this guy who seemed like a nice enough man said that the boat takes 10 hours each day and we ad heard 6 hours. he said that the town you say in is incredibly expensive ( at least 15$nz a night which is pretty expensive) but he said the the mini bus was just 10 hours and a lot easier. turns everything he said was bulls*** just hoping that people would go via mini bus and he would make double the money.

the boat took 6 hours each day and we got a room for four people for about $5 each and everything was cheap compared to laos

i ended up meeting a couple whelsh guys in the hostal b4 the boat trip and naturally with 6 hours to kill on the boat we started having a few beers and take in the amazin views which i took loads of photos we then meet to a couple of canadian girls who were seated next to us as well as a crazy german guy.

we found a place as i said above turns out we didn't get a cheap place for that place. we out for dinner and i had lemon buffalo which turns out to be the best meal ive had so far. we had a few beers after dinner and got invite to a local house so we and went had a great time. but in laos everywhere u go they try and sell you every drug under the sun this is every taxi driver or tok tok . just today out side the police station a was offered heroin. which is a odd place to be offered it. but anyway back to the boat trip on the 2nd leg we meet a group of 8 british guys who were a great laugh i ended up staying with them in the next city luang prabang.

this city was probably the best place odd been so far although it was a tourist town and locals made the most out of it. tried to rip you off as soon as they saw the colour of your skin. the first day there we hired bike and biked around the city visitin temples and the sights which was great. we then went to the night market which was great a brough a beer lao t shirt which was bout 4$. and i h huge peace od chicken on a stick which was really good. we then went bowling( because in lao there i 10pm cerfue( srry bout speeling) but some how bowling is allowed so every goes there to have night out on the shiraz. i beat the other in bowling so i was happy.

the next day woke up and had the best day we went to the waterfalls ( most bueatiful thing ive seen so far) they were amazing you could swim in it and jump of a huge tree.

i then decided on taking the overnight bus to the capital so i could organise my visa for vietnam and head down south to four thousand islands. i took a public bus from LP i booked it through a tour agency which is BIG mistake cost 150,000 kip which was about 30% more expense than at the station i wasn't to cut about that but turns out they had not even booked my ticket so they put me on a seat next to the driver which was terrible i couldn't sleep and the seat only went half way up my back.

it took 12 hours was advertised as 9 but it was only 400kms

i cud on about it forever but i cant wait to leave this city haha
