We arrived into Adelaide today, well it was more of a drive through to be honest, we were on a tight schedule to get to Melbourne for Ians birthday. The plan was to meet Margaret (a relo) and then get back on the road and head up to a caravan park just outside Melbourne centre.
It was more difficult than we expected to find Margaret but we got there in the end. We met her sons family, although all of them had a cold and then we went back to her house where she cooked us a nice meal. It was great, it was the first decent hot meal that we had had for a long time. We stayed at hers for about an hour and half, with most of the time spent eating. She is such a lovely lade, nothing is too much trouble. She even offered to drive us to the nearest motorway so that we could get on our way to Melbourne.
It was really nice to visit her and i'm sure I will head back there at some point. Again we were back on the road although the weather had turned bad and the rain and wind was horrendous. It was so powerful that you had to fight it to keep it in the correct lane on the freeway.
That night we pulled up on a truck layby and slept out the storm. The wind was so strong at times that I thought the van was going to tip, thankfully it didn't!
