Monkey Island.
Today we have landed on Monkey Island, after a short boat journey and a crazy bus ride. I'm pretty sure that all Vietnamese bus drivers are ex rally drivers or just hate white tourists and try to kill us at every given opportunity.
We have a day to relax. I'm here sat on a swinging bench outside our cute little bamboo bungalow, listening to the crashing waves and the sound of nature. One sound I'm frequently hearing is a loud rattling coming from somewhere to the side of me. I only hope it is a small insect and not a massive rattle snake!
On arrival we had a lovely meal consisting of chicken, fish, tofu, veg, rice and noodles. We sat with a Canadian and German. Both lads have been travelling for same time and swop stories with Luke and Libby. Mel and I have only been traveling for two weeks so haven't got many stories to share.
In one hour we are going for a trek around the island, to see the sights and take photos and such. I'm looking forward to seeing the monkeys although I have seen this kind before on gib rock. They are aggressive and have a tendency of stealing off you...
