Buenos Tardes!
I believe the last post left us off at Mindo in the cloud forest which was definitely my favorite town so far. From Mindo we bused all the way to Quito and stayed there a day for a few reasons. One James had a sore throat and wanted it checked out (he is fine and is good to go) an two to line up our Galapagos trip (more on this soon).
We stayed at a new hostel named Bambu or something which had a miraculous view overlooking Quito and the balcony had both ping pong and pool so we spent most of the night in fierce competition.
I am sure many of you are wondering how I am eating on a day to dag basis since I am a picky eater (albeit getting better). Our typical day consist of a set breakfast (desayunos) with eggs, fruit, croissants, tropical juice (pineapple, mango) and coffee. Breaky is probably the most reliable meal as they can't throw much weird stuff at you. Lunch is usually Amorezos or set lunch which is a soup and then seco de pollo (chicken, rice, bad veggies) which is getting old quick. Dinner is usually pizza (more pizzerias than you can shake a stick at), more chicken and rice, hamburgers, or if we are lucky Mexican. So far in week one I have consumed more water than any week in my life. Agua is cheap and plentiful. We made the mistake of getting Agua con gas (carbonated water) once which I do not recommend to anyone. I am looking forward to Argentinian beef in the coming months!
We made our way today from Quito to Banos playing a lot of Mario on the new gameboy and watching a great Spanish flick called undisputed 2, cant wait to see the first..
After walking downtown banos it seems the next 5 days here are gunna be awesome. Lots of stores featuring massages, caynoning, thermal baths, dune buggies, etc. Stay tuned.
The gameplan for the foreseeable future is Banos for 5 days, flying into Galapagos on the 7th, finding a boat cruise for 8 days, then chilling on a beach with the occasional scuba dive until flying to Guayquil on the 23, then Montenista for 5 days, then hrs abd hrs of busing to get to Cuzco on Oct 4th for Machu Picchu. Should be a good month :D
Time to hit the hay.
Hasta la vista!

Richard Hey bro good to see your getting on so well, sounds like an exciting month upcoming! I'm down to my last five days, gies by so quick. If you guys get a chance sometime after open water you should do the advanced scuba cert, me and mark did and thought it was one of the funnest things we've done, so many cool dives. Make sure you smile for the fishes and blog about watcha see! Mickie buenos senior
