Today we are going to explore in a different way ,in a toy train. The train is taking us throughh the city area pointing out the historic sites and the local interest point . The tour itself wil last for 45 minutes. We will list to an auto guide as we travel along through tiny alleys and narrow street . For us this a totally new way of seeing th site of such old and historic town., we enjoyed it immensely.
It's now close to 12, time for lunch so we stop in at the imperial hotel restaurant and enjoy Bordeaux oysters entree and pork deCochon main and Glass of red.
It is now time to catch our bus to the wineries. This was to be a story of two sides.one of disappointment the other of great pleasure. The first winery was a total fast. There was no real show of the winery itself just an animated version on how to make wine and to top it off the wine was poor, not what everyone was expecting, add to this that driver got lost and we drove around the same piece of road three time,we wondered what the next one would be like.
winery no2.was excellent,we were taken into the vines given info on types of grapes were grown, tasted the grapes ,went through the large stainless vat area and explain the process ,all in all, very professional. The tasting was a red and a white, both were good ,so good we brought a red. Home by 6.30 so stop off at this wine bar we were told about on the trip just across the road from the tourist info shop near the grand opera theatre. Real good wines full pours for between €2.50 and €6.00which is a Bargain .
ok that all today, moving on tomorrow
be safe and good luck Hayden and Ben in your football games
