Today is the last full day of our holiday. We arrived into Hong Kong very early this morning, fatigued and jet lagged. We also had a bit of a wait in getting one of our bags as it had gone missing. After about thirty minutes it was located so off we set for Hong Kong Island on the train from the airport.
Thankfully the hotel could offer us a room straight away, for an additional fee so we took the opportunity to get a few hours welcome sleep.
After our little nap we set off for the shopping mall where we both invested in some new clothes followed by lunch at the Four Seasons Hotel. Following lunch we took the Peak Tram to the Peak above Hong Kong to take in the spectacular view. The tram makes a very steep ascent. Photos have been added to a gallery. After a brief visit to a fabrics market where Nicole picked up some nice silk we returned to the hotel.
After a brief rest we headed out by taxi to go to the Jumbo Kingdom floating restaurant in Aberdeen Harbour for our final dinner abroad. The dinner was lovely, even if a tad expensive. We had fillet steak Chinese style, yum and tender; chilli prawns, big juicy prawns and hot chill; and mushrooms and bok chop to complement the meat dishes. We then returned back to our hotel.
Well that's basically the trip for us, just the long flight home tomorrow and we get in around midnight Saturday. The holiday has been a lot of fun, we have seen and experienced a huge amount and we are richer for it. Thank you to those that have followed our journey. If you can stomach it there are other photos that didn't make their way on here that we can share.
