Hi guys,
God its so hot here, yesterday was very tiring but it was great to see Africa although I was suprised it shut at five, i suppose its like the siesta in Spain so by 5pm Bold street is just to hot and Africa (Trade Craft) had to close for the day.
Last night was spent working in Lark Lane (I have to pay for this jetset lifestyle somehow)
Woke up late today and had something called Frosties for breakfast, the box had a picture of a tiger on the front and so reminded me of yesterday which was nice.
I then got the morning express shuttle (village taxis) to take me to (alma de) Cuba
Wow what an impressive place, I had been told Cubans were very religious but to build your country inside a church is just crazy
Cuba was Built by Rev. A. B. MacDonald of the Order of Saint Benedict, Saint Peters Church dates back to the latter part of the eighteenth century. Over the years the city grew and filled the area around Saint Peters; once a very rural part of Liverpool. Cuba remained in use until 1976 but two years later the country closed and the building has been vacant since this time.
Now thanks to Castro the country has been sympathetically restored and retaining many original features including stained glass windows, Corinthian-style columns and other highly decorative and archaic artwork, it has very quickly become the place to go for great food and music. A huge choice of tempting Brazilian, Colombian, Argentinian and Cuban dishes are on offer. There are six separate areas in the country ranging from rich to poor where you can eat, drink and socialise in a stimulating environment of ancient artefacts, elaborately carved panelling, ornate marble columns and candelabras.
I wasnt sure about Cuban food so ijust had a suckling Pig and was very suprised when they charged me sterling,
After dinner there was a big carnival in the lower level of the country, It was very loud, I never realised people from cuba liked RNB and Hip Hop so much
The sound system, carefully designed and installed by a group of communists, provides just the right music level in each area of the venue on demand. Depending on the castros mood and time of day, volume can be adjusted via three simple controls positioned in the main head office area. The system uses a Cloud Z8 zoner, 4 x Tannoy TDX1 and Ecler amps to drive an array of Tannoy speakers in the various parts of the building.
Mezzanine Restaurant:

I tried to explain to them that Tannoy is a brand name and its actually a public address system, unfortunately there was a language barrier so they couldnt understand
