Hi there
Alter a Werk in Singapore i finally chose to go to Malaysia by bus for a few days. in actual fact this turned out to be a great idea as Malaysia is totally different to Sp when it comes to safety, infrastructure etc although it's only 2hours drive away. After i bought a busti ticket for22$=12€ i went to a city called malaka. When i got there i asked a taxi driver to take me to any cheap hostel that is located close to the center. Luckily he took me to Ringos foyer a guesthouse which is owned by a really cool guy called Ringo obviously. He.gave me a room for 15Rm= 4€and also he took me and another guy from Ger. to a night market which was quite interesting. After that we went to a little food court where i had my first malaysian meal after a rather hard
day. Well,a dorm for 4€ has to have a catch and so it was. Firstly, i didn't have a lock so i had to carry my bag allday and secondly it was impossible to shut the windows so all the moskitos got in;so i didn't sleep at all and when got up the next night i was full of tiny itchy bites. Never mind that's the price i have to pay and in addition a guy from us.who stayed in Indonesia for two months even left the hostel because of the flies which means that it probably won't get worse than that.
however, that day i took my things and walked into the city. I looked at all the sights went to a museum and on a river cruise.
Malakas main characteristics are the old men in historic Chinatown who look at the streets from the shady back of there little houses, also there is a constant smell of the drains in your nose that sometimes mixes with the
Odour of chinese food that is "freshly"cooked on the streets.
Finally i can't finish that blog entrie without mentioning how nice and brave Ringo is.
His hostel more like a big get together of people who just want to see more of the world and his only wish is to help them having a good time money is not important at all to him,he just shares anything.
