Hi all!!
Just giving you an update on what we have been doing since we left Cape Town. We have ben travelling up the garden route for the past few days with some crazy drivers and getting off at certain points Our first stop was Mossel Bay - a place where you think yes it sounds like a cool place, but no dont be folled!! this place was so strange!!!! really quiet bit like stepford wives but without the wivces!! anyway this was were jo and i were spending valentines day together so we made the most ofit and went out for a romantic meal!! by the next day we were ready to go, the singing cleaners and the singing school across the road made a little hangovers too much to bare!
Our next stop was Wilderness we arrived to a place which can only be described the most wonderful beachhouse overlooking the cean that we had ever seen!! greated by the owner, annie - she took us in and looked after us! the place was so chilled and comfy unfortunately we awere only staying there a night but it was well needed! already we have been bumpiung into people that we have already met, so the bazbus has been great way to meet people!
As we were not being picked up till 6 that day and the weather not being its best, we decided to take urselves on a stroll, before we knew two english girls had hired a canoe and waere making our way down the kingfisher trail! with nothing with a bag a crisps and a bottle of water, it was bliss!! great fun and solving many problems of the world! Wilderness allowed us to sample some local delicacies such as ostrich and springbok - fab both times!!
When we were in the canoe, there were discussions of doing a bungy jump, but those thoughts soon left us...oh so we thought....
Oyur next place took us to plattenburg bay, where we are now - very clean hostel, which is always a bonus, and on the first we wre upgraded to what can only be considered as a hotel room!! met a great called Cat on the bazbus who we have spent out time with - as we arrived quite late we just went for meal and walked back as we were shattered!
The next day we went to an elephant and monkey sanctury!! the elephants were fantastic and it was great to see that they were working towards releasing them in the wild!! mind you, elephant juice, is not good. holding a trunk is not recommended!!
In the evening we met up with John, who we previously met in Mossel Bay. we went out for a nice meal had a few drinks and recruited a local south african, Wayne! in a not so busy bar, we had decided on doing a bunjy jump, nt just any old bungy jump, but the higgest brdige jump in THE WORLD!!!!!!
So that brings us to where we are now, sitting in our cafe after surviving our jump! it was amazing!!! freefalling for 6 seconds and just hanging around for a minute/1 we got a video and photos so will upoads those asap i know we keep saying it but we cant find a good enough pc to do so!!
on our way to jefferys bay today aka surfers paradise, jo and i will be kate bosworth from blue crush in a matter of days.....
Hope all is well, my (Hannah) tan lines are ridculous!!!! weather has not been its best but still tanning/burning!
Lots of love to all,
