Having a day off today. Planning to do absolutely nothing apart from this quick trip to the village to use the internet and buy some oreo's!

Nikki & Jen have both left and Hannah & James leave today. So it's me, Jacqui and Cristina until tomorrow when soeone from Sweden arrives.

Not much to report really... just working, sweating and getting dirty.....

Me & Nikki had a day off together last week and went to Mahawu volcano - had a look at the crater and walked around the rim through cutty grass so ended up looking a bit worse for wear. We then had a look at Lake Tondano before heading to Girian for lunch at a Padang restaurant - huge plate for 16,000rp (USD$1 is about 9,000rp)

I'm heading off to KL for a couple of ights next week to do visa run - can't believe I've been away for nearly 8 weeks! Time has flown by!!!!

Orangutans have only escaped twice this week - hoping to lock ourselves in their enclsure next time they are out so we can give it a good clean and build some enrichments for them.

We have a sick macaque at the moment - Beckham is really skinny but Simon and Hannah sedated him and had him out as it looked like it was his teeth but they are fine. Have put him in solitaries for a couple of weeks to fatten him up with any luck as his group will be the first to be released. Seems now that its just a hierachy issue - he used to be the leader and now he has been ousted and isn't being allowed to eat and has therefore lost 2.5kg!

My clothes are falling off me - all we eat is fried or deep fried food and rice - the heat must be doing its job and then some. I just wish the cook would give us more veges nd not so much tofu...

Hmmm like I said theres no much to tell you. I realy need to start making notes when things happen so I don't forget.

I managed to kick my little toe yesterday and take the nailoff. Owww I think it might be broken again actually so popping pills.
