Don't havemuch time, but so much has happened,
Now gotten to my home for the next what 3 months, nakuru, i'm not too sure how to descirbe here really. The house i live in is so nice, its a middle class and has a t.v and evryhing, and i get fed and have abunk bed with a really inefficeint mzzie net as it has holes and somehow the mozzies are cleaver and manage to find their way in in the middle of the night to wake me up buzzing around my head and then biting me, but oh well.
so i went to lake naivasha for a night and got up realy close to about 10 hippos all playing around in the water, withsome rather large teeth. so lucky to get so close though, and then got back to the bank where there was a baptism going on which was rather strange.
the to lake nakuru where we were so lucky to see so mny animals, lots of flamingos and water buffallo and zebras and impla and other impla type things. then 5 rhino about 3 metres away from the car! they are huge!! and a little terrifying with the whole massive tusks! and erm so giraffes right next to the car to, and some random hyena that ran past the car about then about half an hour later ran past in the opposite direction, just on its own, have no idea what it was doing! The view from the top ofthe lake was amazing its so big and you can just see fringes of pink round the outside where all the flamingos are.
Later we were going to visit some of the orahnages but the car was being followed by police and they took us to the station claiming that the car we were in had been used to commit a robbery, still not entirly sure what happened with that, but they were demanding money although when the robbery had happened it wasn't karanja that had hired the car.
So we went to visit them all the next day, st anns orphanage, for young abandoned kids up to about the age of 5, pistis which is a large orphange joined toa school, and the kgoto which is a primary school of 1,800 where luke is going to be teaching. also visited springs of hope a very new orphanage set up by americans that is so nice it looks like hotel, but it is't actually part of the changing worlds scheme. anyway, i'm going to write in more depth about them when i get to see more of them cuz i only went for a short visit.
today i went to the hospital and went to the kids ward, which seems like most of the kids get looked after by their parents more than the nurses. and then to the pyhsc ward, which has not neough beds, only very thin mattresses on a fe beds an over flowing toliet and a courtyard area where theyre all locked in, but thats it. apparatently some people are in there because of epilepsy and autism. i was speaking to a few, one said he was from the army and was sent there because he was under too much stress, and another lady said that she went mad beacuse of money and was thying to get me to give her money and my earrings.
and then to the premature babies who were tiny one was born weighing 900g with 3 babies to an incubator.
anyway more detail later
