here it is my first blog entry so it is gonna be quite a long one as i am goin all the way back to the beggining!
It all started when i arrived in bangkok on the the 7th of december i was f***ed from the flight even though i slept most of the way i got a cab straight the koh san road and thought i had booked accomadation at the d and d inn but when i got there i was wrong... i was petrafied that place is scary by yourself at night especially with nowhere to stay carrying a massive rucksack luckily i had a friend out there so i gave her a call and half hour later her and her mate picked me up and took me to there hotel.
i was with the girls for 2 nights and 3 days they really looked after as they had been there before so they knew how to get around etc. we went to the weekend market and mbk etc just chilled basically and ate the best food ever! i was fascinated by the city but it is a dirty place the povety and wealth is vast the cruellity to animals is unbelieveable but its a way of life for them so you have to respect that fact. there are tailors everywhere everyone wants to sell you something you have to barter and get it cheaper because they see a british tourist bump the price up and try to rip u off even though it is still cheap... i cant get over a bottle of beer is less than a quid and u can eat a meal for less the 2 quid.
the girls left me sunday mornin so i was alone again i was too scared to do much by myself so i sat round the pool most of the day then went to a the met bar at night for 1 drink which was amazing i thought i would treat myself (gutted i delted these photos by acceident but will try and get some photos off joey). spurs were on about 10 so i watch that had dinner then went bed i knew joey and paul and hayden (paul's mate) were comin the next night so we could have aproper night out.
monday came and again i had nothing to do really i was jus chillin out gettin a tan waiting for the lads to arrive they got there about 7 we went straight out to eat and my first proper night out in thailand!
we went to nana plaza which is bascially jus brass houses it was a laugh an experience to say the least it is strange being there seeing so many old men buyin young women and yet no one bats and eye lid it isn't seedy and its a way of life to the thai's the same as lady boys are some look better than the women but u can tell if u see the size of there hands and feet its mental...there are more stories i cant write on here but im sure i will tell all to the lads!
woke up felt fine surprisingly after about 12 changs that day we went and did the river boat trip and saw the most unbelievable povety but these people for thailand were supposed to be middle class (i will post pics soon) it is amazing how people live out here on a river in huts they get a river boat to work etc. my words really cant describe what i saw and the pics dont do it justice. after boat trip we hit mbk again and make our own food on a bbq thai style was good fun bought a couple of watches the cartier i have always wanted for 22 quid and its a great copy! that night joey wants to take us to a ping pong show something you never believe till u see it crazy stuff...we got ripped off for the first time in a club they charged us 700baht to watch was fuming! but oh well all part of the experience. pat pong is just something else the stuff that goes on there is just weird and yet its a way of life out here no one is shocked no one cares.
Chaing Mai
my 7th day already in thailand and we fly to chaing mai for probably the best thing ive ever done in my life... mr guy picks us up from the airport and really looks after us like a tour guide such a nice bloke everyone is thailand is friendly happy people they just love life. we went to the worlds biggest jewellery shop and i have never seen diamonds like it i got my diamond ring repaired a new diamond for 30 quid but they try to sell you everything!
that night went to a tradional dinner with thai dancing etc was a great experience food was amazin and again so cheap our whole night we spent 8 quid. we had a early one as the next morning we did the trek!
best day of life from begginging to end i loved every minute of it we got picked up and half 8 and drove about 45 minutes to the jungle we trekked around the jungle met village people fired cross bows and just saw the most amazing things. the village tribes are in such povety but again so happy its brilliant. we crossed 2 bridges over the river jus wooded bridges held on string i was petrafied as i hate hights but i did it! we trekked back down the jungle and then went to ride elephants!!
i still cant believe i sat on a elephants had and controlled it with a stick while the driver sat in the chair on his back and smoked a spliff and im alive to tell the story. riding an elelphant was just amazin the skin feels so hard with spiky hairs where else in the world can i experince stuff like this!
after lunch we went to the water rafts they were made out of bamboo and a thai man just rode us down the river for an hour it was amazin i cant really write what my eyes see but chaing mai jungle is beautiful and to think i just did all that in 1 day is mental! i forgot to mention we also went to a waterfall as you can see in the pics again was great the water is so powerful nearly knocked me out!
another chilled nigth in chaing mai we went out but there isnt much to do here in terms of night life but still crazy a man walks an elephants down the street for people to feed there are still brasses here in bars its mad they are everywhere im looking forward to talking to a normal girl!
we only had the morning to do stuff as we had to fly to phuket so mr. guy picked us up and drove us to the monkey show..the way they treat these animals is so cruel but u cant help but be impressed by a monkey playing basketball and riding a bike..where else but thailand??
we flew to phuket about half 12 we arrived there and got a cab to our hotel on karon beach was propably the best hotel ive stayed in on the beach 4 maybe 5 star resort i wish i took pictures (south sea resort if you wanna look it up online) after we settled in we just sat on the beach all day beautiful sand and lovely sea. its just so surreal that the day before i was in a jungle and now im on a beach it hasn't quite sunk in yet!
that nigth we decide to go into patong apparntly the best nightlife in thailand but when we got there nothing was going on so we watch the thai boxing was really good but not a touch on real boxing.
we come out about 10 and found out there was a drinking ban for we horrified appantly every 4 years when there is a election no alcohol and no bars open that was for 3 days but we got on with it went back to karon beach and just had dinner and chilled
in the day we went to the phuket zoo its was crazy elephants playing football blokes stickin heads in elephants mouths and anothet monkey show its mental i love this place but its so cruel.. on the way back we went to a shooting range and i shot a handgun something id never dreamed i would do its crazy! loved it though gotta practice me shot!
as there was no bars open in thailand we decided to sit on the beach and drink all day so we hit the changs! good day in the end as we watch the football in a irish pub and it served drink!
our last night in phuket and luckily the bars had reopen we went to patong and got smashed in tiger bar its brilliant there you just sit at the bar and play jenga, connect 4 etc against the bar staff and if u win they get u a shot and if u lose which u always do u buy them a drink... 1 tip dont ring the bell!!!
monday the 17th and everyone has a hangover and we get a mini bus half way round thailand it seems to ao nang it took 4 and a half hours but was alrigth. from ao nang we got a long tail boat to the island of railey in the krabi provience ( pics to come)
rialey is propably the best beach i have ever been it is white sand crystal clear ocean and amazing cliffs hanging over it there are monkeys swinging from trees on the beach and its just like paradise i guess.
we are staying at the diamond cave where we meet our new mate mr nang! he looked after us so well made us welcome and basically got drunk with us when we left we gave him 1000 baht each abotu 15 quid as a thank you he needs it more than us!!
there isnt much to do in railey apart from chill but we love it the bars play bob marley etc and everyone has dreads its mental again everyone is so happy with life.. the sea food here is unreal i could eat all day!
on one of the days we woke up about 8 and went to krabi mainland we hired peds (first time of ever rode a bike) and drove about an hour to hot springs and the crystal pond again pics to come and again the most amazing stuff ive ever seen i just cant get my head around how beautiful this country is so much to see and do!
we also climbed view point which you could see the whole of the island its amzing i love it trying to conquer my fear of hights it aint really workin we had to climb up a rock just in flip flops what a experince! i also jumped off a big rock into the ocean loved it but was absoultly petrafied! oh well you only live once!!
on our last day in railey we spent 7 days there we gave mr. nang his present i have never met such a greatful man someone so happy to recieve so little. it just shows to appreaciate everything in life and don't take it for granted!
that was just a brief story of my life so far in thailand and i can say so much more but cant be bothered to keep writing we are off to phi phi now for christmas so i will update so with new pics etc...
