Saturday Broome sat in the vanbecause it is hot (36degrees), we are tired and the place we had in mind to visit this afternoon has decided to close for the weekend. We are going to go for a swim in the site pool which is very big, warm and even has a kind of waterfall cave you can swim behind. We are going to the cinema tonight to see St Trinians at the open air cinema which was built in the 1920s and is still as it was then but hopefully with better projectors. We have been told to take a cushion because you sit on or does one sit in deckchairs. We didn't know they do tours in the daytime but only Monday to Friday so it will be dark when we are there and probably we won't get any photos or video. The hovercraft trip was interesting especially when it broke down and he had to hug the shore for a distance and at the 1st chance run up on the sand to get some momentum. We limped back to base under our own steam or would that be air?The dinosaur footprints we went out to see were very visible but let's face it they could have shown us any depression in the rocks and we wouldn't have known any better or am I being cynical? Joe's comments. These dinosaurs were the weight of at least four large elephants. They were so large they could only take one foot off the ground at any one time or they would have fallen over. They also are an animal that when walking places its hind foot in the footprint of the front foot it has just strode forward on. This being the case, when you look at dinosaur's tracks it appears to be a two legged animal. I hope the photos and the comments make sense. As Vera says you have got to accept that the tour guide is not miss-leading you, although he did get a number of us to stand in a number of the depressions, that way you could make out the path the dinosaur had been taking. I thought that the footprint were you could see how it had depressed the ground was very was very interesting and especially when you tapped the footprint and then the rock around it and the two distinct different sounds.
