Gamarjoba!
Today is our last day in Tbilisi before we move to our host family in Zugdidi, west of Georgia. Our orientation has gone really well and we are impressed with how organised everything has been. We can now speak very basic Georgian and have a lot of knowledge on the country and it's culture.
We have a Georgian bank account all set up and are ready to start teaching!
Yesterday we went to a huge supermarket and then to some local markets where Joe was in heaven! Lots and lots of shoes, clothes, souvenirs, practically everything you can think of crammed into a tiny space. All we bought was some chocolate and coffee from the supermarket as our backpacks are heavy enough at the moment!
We are about to go and have breakfast and then we will be packing. We will be picked up at 1 by either our host family or a regional representative.
Zugdidi is about 6 hours from here and we will be living with 1 lady in her 2 storey house, she has a western style toilet (no squat toilet!) and works at a school in Zugdidi.
We should get Internet as Zugdidi is the 3rd largest city in Georgia so will update everyone soon!
Nakhvamdis (goodbye!) Bazeleti hotel Tbilisi, Nana (our language teacher), Tamara, and friends, we hope to see you all soon!
