Well, we arrived tired but eager after our eleven hour flight and were hit by the 34 degree heat (at 3.30pm!). We were quickly given a taxi (who we were promised knew where to go). 2hrs later and only about 10miles away from the airport we were dropped off at our hotel (situated on the longest, busiest, and most confusing road ever! Peshburhi?). However, the taxi driver did want t drop us off at about 5 completely different ones on the way and Joe nodded along as he spoke in Thai for the whole journey.

After a v.v.v.hot dinner and a change of rooms we finally relaxed and slept.

We are now about to head to the river to see about getting a ferry to the eastern Islands...full steam ahead...yawn...
