Ciao,
Florence was a beautiful and busy place we went to Piazza Michaelangelo at night and had an amazing view of the city. The next day we had a walk around and a look at the many markets and sights. From Florence we went to Pisa, it was a quick stop here where we got off the train bused to the leaning tower had our photos taken and back on the train. We left our packs in storage in Pisa so that we just had wee packs for the Cinque Terre. We stayed at Monterrosso Village on Cinque Terre. It was 5 fisjìhing villages likned by a walking track but due tolack of time we cheated and trained to each village and had a look around but we did walk the last village. This was a definitie highloght of our trip. The quaint wee towns were beautiful and the water was very clear. Could have easily stayed there for a week. After that we went back to Floernce to catch the eurostar to Venice. We made it to Treviso train station and when we got there we were on the look out for Alex (One of Judith and Leicesters friends from Italy who we were staying with) and this guy wearing an italian rugby jacket starts waving so we start running over to his car then someone else jumps in and they take off - man we would have looked like idiots if his person was behind us, we probably would have had our packs off and in his car and he wouldn't have known what was going on. We are staying in Treviso with Alex and Elena who have been amazing hosts and great tour guides. Thankfully they translate all the italian menus for us and place our orders. Yesterday we spent the day in Venice - what a beautiful and amazing city. It was very busy so can imagine in the summer time would be hectic. Caught a water ferry which was great we got to see lots of the houses and canals, I loved Venice.
Today we went to Asolo a medieval town it was very pitureesque. Freya Stark was the british poetist who lived here. Again another beautiful place in Italy with its narrow paved streets you will be able to see in the pictures. We had a fragolino wine here which is very sweet and made from strawberry grapes - yummy. In the afternoon we went to Carsale Leicester and Judiths home in Italy it was very funny going to the pub below their house - they all remember you Leicester. We were shouted a few rounds their when they found out who the boys were. Even you old wood mill mate was there. <it was very funny. We head to the beerfest on Saturday so we will have to leave the luxury from Treviso behind and slum it for a while.
Hope everyone at home is well - don't forget to e-mail us and keep us up to date with what you have been up to.
Lots of love
Jodie and Andrew
